This is a period of transition at Solemn Oath as well. The weather demands a different approach to IPA--heartier, more pine-sap than citrus, and more pillage and plunder than oi oi oi. These are the days when we decommission the Snaggletooth Bandana Econoline and herald the return of Kidnapped By Vikings.
We unleash the first wave of vikings to the world this week. Our American IPA is golden-colored with huge pine-resin aroma, grapefruit hop flavor, mild caramel sweetness, and clean, lingering bitterness. Kidnapped By Vikings is on tap in the Solemn Oath taproom today and will be in distribution throughout Chicagoland next week and in Madison and Milwaukee within a few weeks.
When our vikings arrive, they never show up alone. Expect the double IPA Ravaged By Vikings to chase the falling leaves and imperial IPA Death By Viking to creep up behind you when daylight recedes and the chill of the air steals your breath and other foreboding winter-ish stuff happens.
In case you missed it, we released our American milk stout, Nourri au Fourrage, in bombers and draft format this week. It hasn't made it to our taps yet, but follow us on Twitter or check back soon on our Taproom page to stay on top of what we're pouring--we update it within the hour of any draft line-up changes, barring natural disaster or MXC marathon.
As they roll through, we will give you a preview of what to expect in the way of beer releases. In no way are we saying we’ll actually meet your expectations–just set them. If this sounds good to you, you should probably reevaluate every important relationship in your life. Like, now.
