In its first year they've been able to draw 75+ breweries who are coming on board to pour over 180 beers. General admission tickets are a reasonable $45 and the VIP offerings are already sold out. Back in March, Michael Kiser of Good Beer Hunting sat down with Josh to gain some insights into his passion and drive to bring this project to light.
We love when people do things well and the team behind this has gone through extraordinary efforts to make its first festival appealing to patrons and brewers alike. So buy tickets, bring your parents, bring your significant other, and learn a nugget about the Naper Settlement before you show up that day so people will be impressed with you. For example, Matie Egermann became librarian of Naperville's Nichols Library in 1909 and by the time she left she had collected and displayed over 500 dolls. You know, things like that.
Sometimes at the brewery we listen to rock and sometimes we listen to rap. On occasion you might hear some jazz, pop, or a splash of early punk. The important thing to realize is that we’re always lively. Always accomplishing something. Always planning for what we hope will not be your favorite new thing, or the brewery’s favorite new thing, but our favorite thing together. Never complacent and always adapting. Changing the world, probably. These are those stories.
