Come celebrate the infinite diversity within the Universe, ourselves, and each other. We’re welcoming friends and allies in the LGBTQIA+ community to join us for a Pride celebration that is truly out of this world!
We’ve partnered with This Free Life to host an unforgettable evening, including a one-night-only drag show—Drag Me to the Stars—that will celebrate the fusion of queer art and science and importance of identity, understanding, and self in the cosmos. (Please note the Drag Me to the Stars show is limited capacity.)
Don’t miss a special panel conversation with STEM researchers who identify as LGBTQIA+ about their work and the importance of queer representation in science, and explore the ground-breaking work of LGBTQIA+ role models like Sally Ride and Lynn Conway.
Visit our friends from the Challenger Learning Center who will be demoing their favorite colorful chemistry experiments, including Rainbow Lava Slime and Magic Rainbow Milk!
Plus make sure to check out Out in Space Trivia with Chicago-based, stand-up comedian and One Liner Madness champion Malic White! Prizes will be awarded.
Drag, costumes, and self-exploration are all encouraged and celebrated. And not to worry—there will be plenty of opportunities to transform throughout the evening!
Double Dry-Hopped India Pale Ale
SOB/Adler/Binny’s/Omega Yeast/Country Malt Group/Hopsteiner Collaboration
To honor and commemorate the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest achievements of Mankind, we reached for inspiration from the stars. Our four hops we chose were obvious selections, Apollo, Comet, Galaxy, and Strata. Project Apollo has a beautiful light orange hue and an aroma that feels like it’s erupting from the bottom of a Saturn 5. This beer pulls from the earth and the sky for its flavors and aromas. It’s a blend of grapefruit citrus, passionfruit tropical; astrally fruity and bolstered by our Norwegian farmhouse yeast from Omega that makes it totally out of this world. Apollo has a balanced bitterness with a gently fruity sweet finish. We think it’s a fitting tribute worthy of such a great milestone.
